Want to know how sleep insufficiency can affecr you? Here are some numbers for you to ponder!

Constantly not getting enough sleep? That’s quite the new norm in our modern society these days. The thing is, we often wear it as a badge of honor to show how hard we work. Here’s why we shouldn’t:

  • For every hour of sleep loss, you will waste an extra of 8.4 minutes online doing something unproductiveLoss of 2 hours of sleep per night for 14 nights affects your attention and short term memory.

  • Sleep deprivation for more than 32 hours affects divergent thinking, fluency, flexibility and originality.

  • Those who sleep less than 8 hours per night consumed 2% more calories from fat and 3% more calories from carbohydrates the next day.

  • Regularly sleeping less than 5 hours per night increases the chance of death from all causes by approximately 15%.

  • Lack of sleep causes people to drive erratically just like a drunk driver.

The point is, lack of sleep can really take a toll on your health and productivity! So don’t skim on your sleep. It matters when you least realize it!
