Does Size Matter? 

The recent survey by the world population review has placed Malaysian men in the smaller size category alongside many other Asian countries. The study concluded that an average Malaysian man had an erect penis length of 11.49cm! Yes! As I am sure many men reading this would have gone Pheww!! DOC2MEN decided to look into the more nitty-gritty details and come out with the 'hard’ truth. 

The age old question is, does size matter? There have been two schools of thought when it comes to this 'big' question. One says yay and the other nay. lt is all over YouTube and other platforms if you would want to be your own Sherlock Holmes. Before we get into the details, let me share some interesting facts on penis size.

1. The average penis size worldwide as of 2023 is 18.0cm!, nope, I was just pulling your legs. It is 13.58 cm with the longest measured at 17.61 cm in Ecuador (must be the sea breeze) and our Cambodian friends were measured to be the smallest at 10.04 cm.

2. There is no concrete evidence that men with bigger feet or hands had a bigger if you were one Of those 80s kids,who had the boy talk with friends comparing hand sizes, you just wasted your time-Interestingly, there has been a study done published in the journal Basic and Clinical Andrology February 2021 found that "the average stretched penile length gradually increased in the longer nose size groups". The bigger the nose,the bigger the hose they say.

3. Our primate cousins have a fair disadvantage,where the chimpanzee which is smaller in physical size and less able has an average penile size of 8 cm and the muscular gorilla has an average of 2 cm. Is it a fair exchange in the primate kingdom? Only David Attenborough can tell perhaps.

4. USA Today reported that studies have concluded that the average length Of the human penis has increased by 24% in the last 30 years,while sperm count and testosterone levels are falling.

5. The female vagina when unaroused is about 2.75 to 4.15 inches and it goes to 4.25 to 4.75 inches when aroused. 

Does size matter?

So now coming back to the topic. Does size matter? From point 5 up there we do not need Pythagoras to conclude that if an average penis is sufficient enough to provide adequate sexual pleasure to the woman.But then why such hype about size?

My personal opinion is that this whole mindset probably stemmed from the pornographic industry. Mr. Big Banana on the videos was portrayed to be the ideal man. Fit, chiseled abs and a mile long peepee seemed to be every teens dream. Then came along the condom makers who pushed on the ideas subtly in all advertisements. Let's not forget other social media including movies which show a lady raising her eyebrows at what we are meant to perceive as a guy with a long penis. So, this stereotypical behaviour has been etched into our minds. Penis size has been seen as a symbol of masculinity when in reality it is only a small part of it. Look at the gorilla for God's sake, even Mike Tyson would think twice to get into a cage with one. So is masculinity actually just the penis?

Length vs girth. 

Sexologist Dr. Rahul Gupta in a study concluded that 8 out of 10 women preferred penis with a better girth than length. The logic here is simple. The female erogenous zone pertaining to the vagina is located superficially. We are yet to meet a race with the clitoris located at the fundus of the uterus that only a man with a 9 inch penis could reach. The G-spot is a mere 2-3 inches from the vaginal opening. The logic here is if you have an average length and girth but a fairly good erection and proper movement dynamics he could hit the sweet spots with ease. 

With such logic,it is easy to conclude that size is more of a cosmetic stimulus rather than an actual biological one. Like how some studies have shown that women prefer taller men,it does not mean that taller men are better people in any way.
