DOC2US breaches milestone of one million e-prescriptions
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 22): E-prescription provider DOC2US has set a new record in the number of e-prescriptions generated as it enters the fourth quarter of 2022.
In a statement on Thursday (Sept 22), the company said it had breached the milestone of one million e-prescriptions.
DOC2US chief executive officer and co-founder Dr Raymond Choy said the firm started in 2017, with only 495 e-prescriptions filled.
He said DOC2US’ smart pharmacy solution, namely the electronic prescribing system, has come a long way since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 and the start of the movement control order in 2020.
Choy said the firm’s e-prescription services have been providing quality and efficient digital dispensing service to close to 2,000 corporate clients and more than 1,500 authorised partner pharmacy outlets.
He said that with more than 3,000 pharmacy outlets across Malaysia, one in every three outlets is currently adopting DOC2US’ digital solution.
“The Malaysian healthcare technology industry has a lot to offer and the potential to stand as one of the best in the region.
“We have also set sights on expansion of quality healthcare in the region.
“As most digital healthcare platforms are cloud-based and built on a scalable framework that could easily deploy in markets beyond Malaysia, the digital healthcare sector has the potential to be a key economic driver of Malaysia given the right initiatives," he said.
