DOC2US and Myanmar JV bag Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization award
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 1): Telemedicine provider DOC2US and its Myanmar joint venture (JV) HOPE TeleCare Myanmar have bagged the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) 2021 award in the health technology (healthtech) segment.
ASOCIO is an information and communications technology (ICT) federation organised by ICT associations representing 24 economies and almost 10,000 companies throughout Asia-Pacific to promote, encourage and foster relationships and develop the computing industry in the region.
In a statement on Tuesday (Nov 30), DOC2US said HOPE TeleCare had also received recognition under the healthtech segment at the ASOCIO 2021 awards.
HOPE TeleCare, Myanmar’s latest all-in-one digital healthcare platform, received the recognition for helping individuals get accessible, affordable and equitable healthcare services in urban and rural areas.
DOC2US chief executive officer Dr Raymond Choy said the award is a reflection of its commitment to encouraging digitalisation of healthcare.
“We are committed to continuing to provide a more accessible and connected healthcare platform to all Malaysians as well as work together with our partners in the region to move forward in this digital era.” he said.
HOPE TeleCare Myanmar chairman U Htun Htun Naing said the firm had used digitalisation as a means to make healthcare available to individuals from all walks of life through our platform.
"At HOPE TeleCare, we believe that everyone must have the right to basic healthcare," he said.
