As we are coming to the end of year 2021 we are grateful that 2021 has taught all of us a huge lesson. It was filled with tears, sweats, blood, sorrows and pain. This unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic outbreak has caused major change on the way we live, work and interact with people. The struggle is real and everyone was forced to be trained to be more hygienic, more cautious with infections, and perhaps physically more distant to people and loved ones around us. And the recent massive disastrous floods are not doing us any favour but to add more strains to our Rakyat and authorities.
Undoubtedly, every change comes with a price and I guess that’s the price we are paying. However, it also has caused some massive growth in various industries such as biotech, health sciences, e-commerce, e-payment, e-hailing, food delivery, digital healthcare solutions, e-consult, e-prescription just to name a few.
At DOC2US, 2021 has been a significant growth for the company filled with lots blessings from various stakeholders. This year we have made lots of headlines and impacts to the community, patients, providers, payor, consumers and clients. We have unexpectedly grown 4x our manpower with just a few months span.
One of the important impacts and contributions towards Covid-19 in Malaysia is our 24/7 voluntary Virtual Health Advisory (VHA) services offered to all Rakyat in Malaysia in fight with this pandemic outbreak. Since March 2020 we rallied more than 120 voluntary healthcare providers consisting of specialsts in various fields like infectious diseases, gastroenterology, paediatrics etc, GPs, medical officers, dentists, nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, medical students and many more. In July 2020 we were privileged to be given the opportunity to work and integrate with MySejahtera app providing VHA to MySj community. Till date, we have clocked more than 1.7 million hours of VHA services rendered to our Rakyat since the inception.
Besides, our other efforts in fighting with this nasty outbreak also include running more than 30 vaccination centres (PPV) for both federal and Selangor state governments, with more than 800,000 doses administered since June 2021.
In collaboration with MyEG, Selcare and other laboratories we managed to screen and swab for more than 400,000 Covid-19 PCR + RTK tests, via our on-site and offsite initiatives.
This year we have also managed reach our target and onboard 1,019 pharmacy outlets who adopted our seamless Electronic Prescribing System (EPS) into their daily practices. This network of pharmacies which include Alpro Pharmacy Group, Watsons, AMPM Pharmacy, Big Pharmacy just to name a few, is a significant milestone for the company as it serves as the foundation of our telemedicine solution. As the market leader in this segment we are confident that we will be able to continue to provide more values to the existing authorised pharmacies and the prospective pharmacies in the years to come.
Our electronic prescription (e-prescription) has reached another peak in 2021, with 38% YoY growth we managed to issue more than 333,000 e-prescriptions in 2021, averaging 1-2 prescriptions issue every 1 minute. Overall, the group has recorded more than 650,000 e-prescriptions issued thus far. This is only possible with the innovative and robust prescribing and dispensing technologies involved. Kudos to the Pharma team and our ever hard-working tech team.
Besides, our doctors’ averaged response time has improved from 2.5 minutes to 38 seconds and we are ambitious to further reduce this to below 30 seconds on average. Till date we have served more than 1 million patients and consumers in 2021 who gave us averaged rating of 4.6 / 5 stars.
2021 is also a year full of partnerships which saw us partnering and integrating with AIA into the MyAIA Superapp providing a more seamless digital healthcare experience to AIA community, both corporate and private consumers. We also integrated with one of the leading Managed Care Organisations in Malaysia, MiCare serving millions of their corporate employees. With all of our corporate partnerships we are addressing a market size of more than 10 million working adults and dependents.
With the strategic partnership with logistic partner like GDEX we are able to further streamline the medication delivery processes and user experience. Currently we are able to provide express delivery in major cities in Malaysia with averaged turn-around-time (TAT) of 2 hours for minor ailments and average of 1.2 days for the long-term medication delivery. We are working closely with pharmacy partners like Alpro Pharmacy group in driving this to the next level in 2022, with the ambition to further innovate to bring down the TAT and increase more coverage in the whole of Malaysia.
There were many FIRST times in 2021 for DOC2US as well. In collaboration with Bayer we started the regional first Telepharmacy services pertaining to family planning in Malaysia, offering contraceptive advisory and contraceptive pills delivery services. Besides, our Pharma team also ventured themselves into professional webinar series in partnership with MSD and AIA Malaysia, providing more than 20 webinar sessions to professional healthcare providers and public with the aim to educate, empower and encourage from the perspective of healthcare. The first ever telemedicine solutions integrated with a smart TV was born in 2021 together with our partner Huawei. This newly launched Huawei Vision will allow family and users to virtually consult our doctors via their smart TV and order medications to the doorstep with just a few clicks away.
We were also blessed with a few awards won in 2021, such as 2x Malaysia Book of Records and The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) which is an ICT federation organized by ICT associations representing from 24 economies throughout Asia in healthcare segment representing Malaysia.
2021 appears to be the start of our SEA market expansion and we were privileged to be working with trusted partners in Myanmar. In October 2021 we officially launched DOC2US-powered telemedicine solutions in Myanmar, named HOPE Telecare. We look forward to extend our values and solutions to other interesting markets in years 2022 and 2023.
We are forever grateful for all the trusts and support given to DOC2US all these years. Though challenging it comes with huge satisfaction especially when we are able to see smiley healthy patients recovering well from their illnesses or having a good control of their chronic illnesses. The hardwork pays off.
BIG Thank You to our ever hardworking and dedicated DOC2US fighters in braving this thunderstorm together with us. One can run fast but together as a team we can go far and strong. Keep fighting and keep impacting.
On behalf DOC2US we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our strategic partners, business associates, stakeholders, clients, patients, healthcare providers, and policymaker for entrusting us to be your trusted partner for health.
