In an ongoing commitment to prioritise the well-being of its employees, Standard Chartered has joined forces with DOC2US to launch an On-Site Flu Vaccination and Basic Health Screening program through AIA. The collaboration represents a significant step in the bank's ongoing efforts to ensure the health and safety of its workforce.
The screenings were designed to identify early signs of non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension etc. and provide employees with insights into their well-being. By catching potential health concerns in their early stages, employees can take proactive steps to manage their health effectively.

By offering flu vaccinations on-site, Standard Chartered also aims to reduce the risk of flu outbreaks within the workplace. This does not only protect employees but also ensures business continuity and productivity.
Dr. Shanmuganathan, President of the Federation of Private Medical Practitioners' Associations Malaysia, underscores the critical timing of flu vaccinations. He notes that the peak flu seasons typically occur from May to July and November to January.
Furthermore, the evolving nature of the flu virus leads to different strains circulating each flu season. To maintain continuous protection, receiving an annual flu shot is crucial, adapting to the ever-changing flu virus landscape.
