Hey moms, does your world revolve around your children and family? Being a mother also means caring for other and having no off days or sick leaves as you are on duty 24/7. Motherhood is definitely one of the best and most rewarding jobs in the world, but it can be exhausting too. Our kids are our priority that when we get so caught up on them, we forget to take care of ourselves. Here are some simple and realistic tips on how moms can stay healthy and energetic for their children.
Give yourself a time out
Every mother deserves a break every once in a while. Create a schedule that allows you to have some me-time. Let your partner bring the children out for activities, while you enjoy your time. Do what you love most, like walk around the mall, enjoy a cup of coffee at your favourite café, pamper yourself with manicure/pedicure, facial or even a massage.

Don't skip breakfast
While you’re preparing breakfast for your children, why not prepare something for yourself too? A simple egg sandwich and your favourite cup of coffee/tea can get you ready for the day. Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
Eat healthy
When you tell your kids to “eat more vegetables and fruits”, be sure you do the same too! Fruits and vegetables provide the essential vitamins, minerals and fibre. Limit intake of food that is high in calories, sugar, salt and fat contents.
Drink more water
To avoid dehydration, drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Be physically active
No matter how busy your daily schedule, skipping your workout should not be an excuse. Try to schedule your exercise at the same time every day. There are plenty of ways to get physically active; dancing, walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and even gardening. Do you know exercising provides plenty of benefits? These include weight control, strong your bones and muscles, improved mental health and mood, as well as reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, metabolic syndromes and certain cancers.
Make time for sleep
It may sound almost impossible, especially if you have a newborn or when your child is sick and requires your full attention and presence. But getting adequate sleep will help you to boost your mood and reduces stress.
Stay positive
A daily life of a mom can be stressful sometimes. Look at the fun and positive perspective in most life situations. Take a picture or record a video when your child is caught doing something mischievous. You will look back at that picture/video and laugh about it later.

Cheers to being a healthy and happy mom!
